Overview

Shareen is a registered psychologist who has spent more than 25 years supporting children, young people, adults, and families across public health, education, and private practice settings. She has been working in private practice for over 13 years and brings a calm, thoughtful, and practical approach to her work.

Throughout her career, Shareen has worked in a variety of roles, including team leadership and management positions, within public mental health services, schools, and private practice. This broad experience allows her to work with an understanding of the wider systems surrounding children and families, and to collaborate effectively with parents, schools, and other professionals.

Shareen enjoys both therapeutic and assessment work and values how these roles complement one another. She has a particular interest in supporting children, young people, and families where anxiety, emotional regulation differences, neurodivergence, or parenting challenges are present. Her work is guided by a neuro-affirming and strengths-based practice, with a focus on helping families make sense of experiences in a way that feels supportive and empowering.

Shareen is an experienced assessor for Autism, ADHD, and learning differences, and approaches assessment as a collaborative process aimed at building understanding, self-knowledge, and practical next steps. She is an accredited Circle of Security Parenting™ DVD Trainer and enjoys working closely with parents to develop interventions that are meaningful, achievable, and responsive to each family’s unique needs, with an emphasis on building confidence and supporting progress over time.

Outside of her clinical work, Shareen enjoys Lego, reading, creating therapeutic resources for working with children, and spending time with her family.
